Privacy Policy

Saddy ("we", "us", "the app") is built by humans who have also been sad on the internet. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Saddy iOS app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect as little as possible.

1. Information we collect

Sad Score data: your daily check-ins, scores, archetypes, and streaks. Stored on your device and, if you sign in, in our secure cloud backup.
Account info (optional): email or Apple ID identifier, used only to sync your account across devices.
Diagnostic data: anonymized crash logs and basic usage events (e.g. "user opened the app") to keep the app from spiraling.

2. What we don't do

We don't sell your data. Ever.
We don't share your sad scores with advertisers, insurers, or your ex.
We don't track you across other apps or websites.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to provide the Saddy experience: calculate your scores, sync across devices, fix bugs, and improve features. That's it.

4. Sharing

You can voluntarily share a Saddy result via a link or social share. Only the data you choose to share is included (e.g. your score and archetype). Recipients of the link will see that information.

5. Data retention & deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from inside the app under Settings → Delete account. Deletion is permanent within 30 days.

6. Children

Saddy is intended for users 13+ (or the age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.
